In gambling a gambler will always believe that “the next gamble will be a win” after a series of losses, even if there is no statistical imperative or basis for this assumption.

It is important to note that this also applies when the [[Laws of Probability]] go against this assumption. Gamblers will deny the math and assume that their experience will be different.
