Andragogy

This is the sister to [[Pedagogy]] and the cousin of [[Heutagogy]]. Andragogy is the method of learning in which students are taught tools and ideas by an instructor, then asked to properly apply those tools to solve problems together in a self directed environment.

This style of learning is most popular with adults and can be found most often in University settings. It serves as a good method to teach adults specific tools. It also relies heavily on [[Experiential Learning]] to cement ideas.

Connections

This also makes me think of [[Cognitive Load]], and how the majority of adults have a higher capacity for cognitive load at one time compared to children.

This also relates to #game-design in many ways.
