Pedagogy

This is the learning theory principle in which learning and instruction are fully dependent on the teacher. It is usually a one way conversation and transferrance of knowledge. Students sit in the classroom and listen to the teacher lecture.

In this context all the knowledge provided is organized and taught by the teacher, and students perform guided exercises and activities to learn the material. This is known as [[Passive Learning]], in which students listen passively to a lecture. Adults learn best when they have a self guided direction, and can properly learn in the space.

This is the less independent sister of Andragogy, and the antithesis of Heutagogy as both of those ideas are rooted in aspects of Experiential Learning and self guided and directed adult learning.

This makes me think of how many players constantly learn through Meaningful Play.
